✦ children's fiction ✦
A story written for your child, and only for them.
Some things land better as a story than as a talk. Tell me about their world and what you'd like them to understand.

No two children are the same. Neither are two stories.
Tell me about your child: what frightens them, what they dream of, what their world looks like right now. I'll write a story that belongs only to them.
Their fear becomes a dragon they faced. Their wish becomes a prophecy fulfilled. Their life becomes the first myth they will carry.
The shortest story is perfect for a 12 to 15 spread picture book, and is usually ordered for children under five.
Typewritten option. If you'd like your story typewritten, you can have it. There's no delete key, and the occasional typo makes it even more real. Every word is pressed into the page once, and it stays. It takes me hours, so the price reflects that. What you receive is an object, not a file: something to hold, frame, or put in a drawer and find again in ten years.
When parents come to me
SOMETHING IS CHANGING
A new sibling, a move, a new school.
SOMETHING SCARES THEM
The dark, the doctor, a goodbye. Their fear becomes a dragon they face.
JUST BECAUSE
Their name, their world, their favourite things. A story they'll ask for again.
✦ from someone who ordered it ✦
“Thank you very much for creating the perfect story for my grandson's enrollment into primary school. It is warmhearted, encouraging, and wonderfully personalized. I highly recommend this author.”

Not quite right?
I'll rewrite it.
Every order includes one full round of revisions. If the tone, a detail or the ending doesn't feel like them, tell me what's off and I rewrite it.
No extra cost. Just write to me after you read it.
Prefer to talk it through?
I also write from a one-to-one conversation. We talk for an hour, I listen for the thread, then I write you a story of about 3,000 words from what came up.
Questions
Will it be too scary?
No more than you want. If there's a dragon, it's always faced, and the ending is a brave one.
Can I print it as a book?
Yes. The Flash Story is written to fit a 12–15 spread picture book.
What if I can't afford it?
Write to me anyway. Tell me your situation and who the story is for. I read every message, and sometimes I lower the price.
Can I share or reuse my story?
Yes, it’s yours to keep, read and share. Wherever it goes, even if you reuse or adapt it, keep my name with it: written by Julie, Mot Vivant. The writing stays mine, so it can’t be sold, published for profit or used commercially without my written permission. I may share and use the stories I write, in my portfolio, on this site and in my marketing, always with names and personal details changed. If you’d rather I never share yours, just tell me.
Is this therapy?
No. It's fiction, grounded in narrative theory. It isn't a clinical service and doesn't replace one.
